Title : Internet Creativity Has Only Just Begun.
Author : : Jesse S. Somer
Are you a creative person? You might have asked yourself, ‘Why should I get involved with the Internet?’ I’ll tell you why. Have you experienced the magic of doing a search on Google, buying a book from Amazon, selling your old model trains on Ebay, adding your knowledge to a Wiki, or have you talked to someone on the other side of the world for free using Skype? If you haven’t-you’ll be blown away, and if you have, I wonder if you think that these ideas are the end of the road, that there’s no more that can be created to help society and the world. None of these companiesfunctionsinventions would exist if people hadn’t seen the possibilities inherent in the Internet, and then gotten over their fears to given it their all and make their dreams materialize. Do you really think that this creative burst of human ideas has finished? Wake up people, it’s only just begun! If you’ve got a creative itch you have to realize that it is in computers and the Internet that your future lays. Don’t let the fact that all of the aforementioned creations have made people extremely wealthy deter you. For some it could be your driving inspiration! Just know that if you do help the world, usually you are paid kindly in return.

Some people deep in the scheme of things think that the Internet has been around for a long time. It hasn’t. Some people think human beings have been around a long time. We haven’t. You might look at what already has been created in life and in technology and think that we’ve finished evolving. Wrong. Today is the first day of the rest of this world’s life. Great achievements like the Microsoft Windows operating system have changed the world. Who’s to say that the most life-altering creationsinventions have already been achieved? Why can’t you be the person who thinks of the next great idea that furthers our collective existence?

At one point in time no one in the world knew what Google was. Now, everyone who walks near a computer knows exactly what it is and what it can do for them. It is a really cool idea. You can think of any topic in life and the search engine brings you links to websites that relate to your request. Think about how much this has helped human society come together as well as become more informed about the world around them. We call it the information Age. It hasn’t been around for long. Do you know what this means for you? It means you can get out on the Internet and follow your dreams, whether they are to provide a service, create a tool, or share your ideas with the world. Maybe you’ve got a ‘Google’-type of idea in your head just waiting to come out and improve the way we live life. The owners of Google are incredibly rich…does that also inspire you? If it does I don’t care, as long as your hard work helps people in the future.

Think about this new type of website called a Wiki. These are sites that usually focus on a specific subject, but which can be edited by any visitor that comes to the ‘table’ with new information. Let’s say you’re into studying the mating patterns of Howler Monkeys. If you set up a Wiki site then anyone in the world who has any knowledge about this subject can come and add or edit existing information. Eventually you get a website that not only helps all of the specialists know their field better, but gives the whole of human society a place to go to find an information source that was created by multiple minds, not just one person. Is there a subject that you are fond of or knowledgeable about? It might be time to create a Wiki so that your information can be pooled with others. The result will be a website that informs, teaches, and subliminally helps humanity evolve.

Big or small, your efforts are going to create a new reality. A personal website or blog will give you the opportunity to share your beliefs and ideas without censorship. A small business website can make you a living, as well as provide a quality service or product to the surrounding community. There’s big business. They have to be on the Web to work at all. What about those truly ground-breaking ideas that will change our future? All of them are going to appear on the Internet. It is now the medium for social interaction. If you want to be heard, be known, earn an income, share ideas, or just communicate…It’s the place we all now go.

If you haven’t already gotten a website on the Internet, I have one question to ask you. How are you going to change the world if you’re not online and connected to the rest of us?
