This CBT covers the evolution of networks, and offers a description
of the technologies and the devices used in LANs and WANs. The
course identifies the need for a layered approach, and describes
the seven layers of the OSI reference model along with their functions.
This first course also covers the upper layers of the OSI model
in detail, and the processes of flow control and windowing for
data integrity for reliability in the Transport layer. Finally,
it defines the various methods used to determine the best path
for communication over an internetwork.

This course is designed to provide the user with a thorough understanding
of the concepts of the Data Link layer and the Physical layer of
the OSI model. It describes the coding schemes and the different
media types used in LANs and WANs, as well as the different topologies
and technologies associated with LANs. The WAN technologies and
protocols are also discussed.

Cisco Router Configuration Basics
This course presents the basics of router configuration and covers
the entire process of the installation of routers. This includes
defining various components and interfaces that are supported by

and Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP).
