Enhance your communication skills.Module Outline The ability to communicate effectively is critical to success in the workplace. We spend 80% of our waking hours in some form of communication. At work, the people we communicate with may include managers, colleagues, subordinates, customers, suppliers and the general public, to name a few. Poor communication skills affect workplace relationships and may even prevent us from doing our jobs well. On the other hand, effective communication improves our job performance and enhances our day-to-day contact with others. In this module, we will look at three components of effective communication: listening well, expressing ourselves through talking, and being assertive.
