Making a moving camera view
In this tutorial you will be using the masking feature in order
to create a motion camera effect.
1. Open your Flash Macromedia screen
2. Select from File tab to import a picture to your library
3. Select the image you want to use and import it into your Flash
Library
4. Make a new symbol called ‘motion’ by selecting
the insert tab or Ctrl F8 Make the behavior a Movie Clip
5. Select from Open your library from the window tab at top or
press Cntr+L
6. Select the picture from the library that you want to use
7. Drag your picture to the main screen
8. Insert a layer by pressing Insert tab at top and selecting
layer or by press + on the timeline.
9. Select Layer 2 and right click on it or and select MASK
10. Unlock Layer 2. Select Rectangle tool from tools menu.
11. Draw rectangle on right side of image.
12. Select Layer 2 and insert a frame on frame #20 either by pressing
F5 or by the insert tab at the top of the screen.
13. Unlock layer 1
14. Select Frame 20 from the timeline of Layer 1. Insert a keyframe
on frame 20 either by pressing F6 or by the insert tab at top
of screen
15. Select the frame on the layer 1 timeline and open up the properties.
You can do this by right clicking the timeline. From the properties
you select the from the drop down menu beside Tween motion. Or
you can select from the insert tab Create Motion Tween.
16. Now go back to frame 20 and move your image so that the rectangle
mask is now on the right side of the image. You can select the
image to move it by left clicking it dragging and then dropping.
Or you could adjust the X coordinate in the properties menu.
17. Go back to your main screen and select the motion Movie Clip.
Drag it from the library to the screen where you want it positioned.
18. Test your flash movie by pressing the control tab the selecting
test movie or by pressing Crtl Enter
