  • Picking a theme and staying true with it is a great place to start developing yourself and your business online.  One of the most important parts is to stay authentic.

Finding an identity can sometimes seem overwhelming; you don’t want to be just another one who does the same as thousands of other people.  This is why it is important to determine what makes you different and then focus on that area.

Ask yourself, how are you different competitively.  If it’s a company you have and want to develop a brand online ask you self how you are different from your competitors.  If you are an individual trying to build a brand online ask yourself what make you different what can you provide that people need.

How do you want to be identified online is similar in how you want people in general to think of you.  What is your name on and offline represent?

What is your unique value proposition to the marketplace, what can you offer better, than others.  Picking a good direction from the beginning will help layout a good roadmap for the future of your brand development.

Create that first path to follow and stay on track, change and tweak when needed.  You must understand what message you want to convey to properly develop your brand online.
