THE PLOT : When cattle ranch foreman Magpie (Ben Corbett) looses cattle to rustlers, he calls upon his friend "Lightnin’ Bill" Carson (Tim McCoy) for help. Posing as a Mexican, Carson infiltrates the gang and soon finds out that it was Blacton’s men who were stealing cattle. Blackton (Forrest Taylor), a meat-packer, has a contract with U.S. army for the supply of 500 heads of cattle each month at rock bottom prices. The only way he could make a few dollars from the deal was by rustlin’ cattle from helpless ranchers. The use of powerful trucks and machine guns by Blacton’s gang gives the story a refreshingly modern touch. |
