top I wanted to stress the importance of finding a hosting service that is reliable, and trustworthy.

Recently I have been experiencing problems with my hosting company. I had an affiliate script running which had been on my site for over 3 years. This is the same script that I am sure is on 1000's of websites.

All of the sudden they closed the website and sent me an email that my site had been doing CPU abuse. With really no choice but to pay them $100 to restore the service as I did not want to endure any more downtime on my website. This is the second time they have done this.

By every definition of the word EXTORTION this was done again. They will not close my account an payback the hosting I've have prepaid. (Never a good idea to prepay too many months in advance) If I go to another company I need to set the DNS and experience even more downtime.

top There truly should be some regulations that hosting companies need to abide by. Or even a complaint board or something. It seems to me everyone I know has their own hosting horror stories
