AI MASTERY LAB / UNDERSTAND · EXPERIMENT · APPLY
Make AI useful.
Keep your judgment.
Go beyond a clever prompt. Learn what AI can do, test what it gets wrong, and build a workflow you can explain.
Better questions. Better decisions.Practice the skills behind a useful answer.
Choose an answer to get explained feedback.
A passed check records this question, not professional certification. Keep practicing with new examples.
BUILD A BRIEF YOU CAN REUSE
Give the task a clear shape.
Complete the fields, inspect the assembled prompt, and take it to your preferred AI tool. The checklist measures field completion, not prompt quality or expected model performance.
Try a controlled comparison
Run the same fictional input with your original prompt and a revised version. Compare factual support, missing facts and formatting. Change one meaningful instruction at a time.
A CONFIDENT ANSWER STILL NEEDS EVIDENCE
Does the source actually say that?
Explore a fictional workshop’s records. The search ranks shared words only. Read dates and scope before deciding whether a claim is supported.
Review the claims
Use the current 2026 workshop brief and policy. Classify every claim, then check your review.
EVERY CUTOFF HAS CONSEQUENCES
Which tickets should get attention?
These eight fictional tickets have fixed scores and known labels. A score at or above your threshold is flagged as urgent. This tiny exercise is not a trained model or a production benchmark.
How the numbers are calculated
Precision = TP / (TP + FP). Recall = TP / (TP + FN). Accuracy = (TP + TN) / all cases. A metric with a zero denominator is shown as N/A. A score is not necessarily a calibrated probability. This fixture has four urgent and four routine tickets.
Try 0.3, 0.5 and 0.8. Which catches more urgent tickets? Which creates fewer false alarms? Could your review queue handle the difference?
PUT YOUR SKILLS TO WORK
Build a small, reviewable pilot.
Your capstone checklist
- Choose a narrow task and a measurable output.
- Prepare two routine cases and two edge cases with appropriate data.
- Write the brief and define how missing facts should appear.
- Check factual support, required fields and audience fit.
- Place a review before publishing, sending or changing records.
- Record failures and decide what happens on retries.
- Compare total effort with your existing approach.
